Go Vertical HydroBarrel™

Designed for upright immersion, going vertical allows you to maintain either a standing or seated position. When adapting to the cold, many believe going vertical is easier with a more natural feel similar to a lake or the ocean. The vertical design is an excellent choice for those needing to maximize space while still achieving full-body immersion.

OSONE Pro 1 HP Water Chiller

PRO Chiller

Powered by 1.0HP and bacteria killing UV-C Sanitation. With an industry leading 5-Micron Filtration, keep your water cleaner for longer. Built on wheels for effortless mobility and reduced exposure to debris and moisture. Water temps as low as 36°F.

Ultraviolet light is used as a form of water sanitation.

Disinfection and Sterilization: UV light is effective at killing or inactivating microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and mold. In cold plunge chillers, UV lamps are often incorporated into the filtration system to disinfect the water. This ensures that harmful pathogens do not grow or thrive in the cold water, making the experience more hygienic and safe.

Prevention of Biofilm: Cold plunges can develop biofilms — slimy layers formed by bacteria. These biofilms can affect water quality and even clog filters. UV light helps to break down and prevent the formation of these biofilms by killing the bacteria that contribute to their formation.

Maintains Water Clarity and Freshness: By killing microorganisms and preventing the buildup of organic matter, UV light helps keep the water clear and fresh, improving the overall experience of the cold plunge.

UV light in cold plunge chillers helps maintain clean, hygienic water. It enhances safety, improves water quality, and ensures the longevity of the system by preventing the growth of harmful microorganisms.

Able to reach temperatures as low as 36°F as quickly as 3-5 hours from setup. Once initial temperature is reached, effectively maintains temperature with twice the cooling speed of a 0.5HP Chiller.

A micron rating refers to the size of the particle a filter can effectively capture. A 5-micron filter can capture particles such as dirt, sand, debris, and microorganisms that are 5 microns in size or larger. It helps keep the water clean by removing visible debris, larger microorganisms, and particles that might affect water quality or comfort.

The smaller the micron #, the finer the debris being captured from entering your cold plunge.

Built on wheels, off the ground for effortless mobility and reduced exposure to debris and moisture.

Cooling Power of the 1.0HP Chiller

Cooling Power

Cooling rates are fastest when water temperature is at its highest. Chiller will cool faster earlier and slower as it's reaching 40°F.

Ambient temperatures have a dramatic effect on cooling rates. Chillers placed indoors will cool faster than outdoors especially during warmer months.

Why Go Vertical with your Cold Plunge?

  • More Control

Vertical cold plunges allow you to maintain a standing or seated position. When adapting to the cold, advocates believe going vertical is easier as you have more control to progressively lower yourself as you become accustomed to the cold water versus abruptly laying down flat against a cold surface.

  • Space Saving Design

The vertical design is an excellent choice for those needing to maximize space while still achieving full-body immersion, an essential component of effective cold therapy.

  • More Natural Plunge

An upright design gives you the ability to have water surround your entire body similar to dipping into an ice cold lake. Some find laying flat against the cold surface of a tub a more difficult challenge.

  • Easier to Breathe

In a vertical plunge, whether standing or sitting upright, your chest stays open, promoting effortless and natural breathing. This posture supports better airflow than lying down, making it easier to engage in deep breathing exercises.

3 Lessons I Wish I Knew Before Purchasing My Cold Plunge System

How often do you want to change your water?

Possibly the most important things to consider when buying a cold plunge.

Water changes can be time-consuming, messy and disruptive, turning your plunge into a chore instead of a habit. Pay attention to HP, invest in UV-C or Ozone sanitation, use Sirona Sanitizer & Oxidizer and choose the right filter with a low micron rating.

With the proper setup, you’ll be changing your water every few months instead of every week—and that could be the difference between staying consistent or giving up on your routine.

There are other layouts aside from the traditional tub.

I upgraded from a $99 pod to a $1k tub, thinking it was the natural next step. Instead, I found it uncomfortable: numb toes, difficulty breathing and overall frustration not being able to withstand the cold temperatures I once could.

Finding the barrel as an option changed everything. Plunging upright feels instinctively better, unlike the tub that requires more of a lay down approach similar to bath time. If you’ve been using a pod and are ready to level up, the barrel is definitely worth considering.

Why U.S. based customer support actually matters.

Whether it’s fixing air lock after replacing a filter or requesting a component under warranty, I learned the hard way how critical it is to have live support. Do yourself a favor and call before you buy and make sure someone actually picks up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy is Barrel setup?

The HydroBarrel takes 5 minutes to setup. As easy as removing the plunge from the carry-all bag and inflating with the included pump.

How easy is Pro Chiller setup?

The Pro Chiller comes with all necessary parts and instructions for setup. A set of tubes connects the Pro Chiller to your Cold Plunge. The UV Chamber and Filtration are built inside the side compartment of your Chiller. Setup can be as fast as 90 seconds (watch youtube video).

Filter changes, how often?

For reusable filters, we recommend cleaning once a week to prevent debris build up.

For replaceable filters, we suggest replacing every 2-4 weeks based on water quality.

Can products be outdoors?

Yes, the HydroBarrel is built for indoor/outdoor use. We recommend placing under a covered area, such as a lanai, to prevent direct sunlight and exposure to the elements.

The Chillers can also be outside and we also highly recommend putting under cover. For longevity purposes, all items should be under a covered area to prevent direct sunlight and direct exposure to the elements. Outside temperature directly affect cooling times and chiller output so keep this in mind during setup. Chillers operating indoors have proven to use less energy and are better protected from the elements and can increase longevity.
