The UV-C purification system is used for eradicating microorganisms, reducing chemical usage and eliminating harmful by-products. By disrupting the DNA of microorganisms, protozoans, viruses, and bacteria lose their ability to reproduce therefore becoming inactive. Water passing through the UV-C chamber is sanitized by an ultraviolet system as it passes the lamp.

All electrical accessories, including UV-C sterilizers and water pumps, must be plugged into a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protected outlet.

- DO NOT operate accessories if the power cord or housing is damaged, or if water has entered the electrical compartments.
- WARNING: UV radiation is harmful to skin and eyes; never look directly at the bulb while it is powered.
- WATER & ELECTRICITY: Ensure all electrical connections are kept dry and at least 5 feet (1.5m) away from the water source.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in severe injury or electrocution.

How does UV Sanitation work?

How often to replace bulb?
For peak performance, we recommend changing your UV bulb once a year or when the green light on your electronic ballast goes out.
