Go Vertical HydroBarrel™
Designed for upright immersion, going vertical allows you to maintain either a standing or seated position. When adapting to the cold, many believe going vertical is easier with a more natural feel similar to a lake or the ocean. The vertical design is an excellent choice for those needing to maximize space while still achieving full-body immersion.
PRO Chiller
Powered by 1.0HP & 3-Step Filtration including UV-C to eliminate bacteria growth, keep your water cleaner for longer. Water temperatures as low as 36°F.
Built on wheels for effortless mobility and reduced exposure to debris and moisture.
Ultraviolet light is used as a form of water sanitation.
Disinfection and Sterilization: UV light is effective at killing or inactivating microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and mold. In cold plunge chillers, UV lamps are often incorporated into the filtration system to disinfect the water. This ensures that harmful pathogens do not grow or thrive in the cold water, making the experience more hygienic and safe.
Prevention of Biofilm: Cold plunges can develop biofilms — slimy layers formed by bacteria. These biofilms can affect water quality and even clog filters. UV light helps to break down and prevent the formation of these biofilms by killing the bacteria that contribute to their formation.
Maintains Water Clarity and Freshness: By killing microorganisms and preventing the buildup of organic matter, UV light helps keep the water clear and fresh, improving the overall experience of the cold plunge.
UV light in cold plunge chillers helps maintain clean, hygienic water. It enhances safety, improves water quality, and ensures the longevity of the system by preventing the growth of harmful microorganisms.
Able to reach temperatures as low as 36°F as quickly as 3-5 hours from setup. Once initial temperature is reached, effectively maintains temperature with twice the cooling speed of a 0.5HP Chiller.
Pro Chiller comes with a Dual Filter System: 40-Mesh Particle Filter to capture larger debris and 15-Micron Filter to catch fine debris.
A micron rating refers to the size of the particle a filter can effectively capture. A 15-Micron Filter can capture particles such as dirt, sand, debris, and microorganisms that are 15 microns in size or larger. It helps keep the water clean by removing visible debris, larger microorganisms, and particles that might affect water quality or comfort.
The smaller the micron #, the finer the debris being captured from entering your cold plunge.
Cooling Power
Cooling rates are fastest when water temperature is at its highest. Chiller will cool faster earlier and slower as it's reaching 40°F.
Ambient temperatures have a dramatic effect on cooling rates. Chillers placed indoors will cool faster than outdoors especially during warmer months.
Why Go Vertical with your Cold Plunge?
3 Lessons I Wish I Knew Before Purchasing My Cold Plunge System
How often do you want to change your water?
One of the most important things to consider when buying a cold plunge.
Water changes can be time-consuming, messy and disruptive, turning your plunge into a chore instead of a habit. Pay attention to HP, invest in UV-C or Ozone sanitation, use Sirona Sanitizer & Oxidizer or Hydrogen Peroxide and choose the filter with an appropriate micron rating based on your maintenance routine.
With the proper setup, you’ll be changing your water every few months instead of every week—and that could be the difference between staying consistent or giving up on your routine.
Consider other layouts from the traditional tub.
After upgrading from a $99 entry-level pod to a $1,000 tub, I expected a seamless transition. However, the horizontal 'bath-style' immersion proved counterintuitive for me, resulting in physical discomfort, numb extremities, and difficulty managing my breath—essentially hindering the progress I had made.
Moving to a barrel-style design brought me back to loving cold plunging as the vertical setup was more similar to what I was used to. The upright posture feels far more instinctive and manageable compared to reclining.
For those struggling to adapt to a traditional tub, an upright barrel may offer a more natural and effective progression.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to setup HydroBarrel?
The HydroBarrel takes 5 minutes to setup. As easy as removing the plunge from the carry-all bag and inflating with the included pump.
How long does it take to setup Pro Chiller?
The Pro Chiller comes with all necessary parts and instructions for setup. You will receive a series of youtube videos referencing everything you need for setup and maintenance.
How often should I change the filter?
Lower micron ratings offer superior filtration and require more frequent replacement due to higher particle accumulation. A 5-micron filter captures significantly more debris than a 15-micron filter.
We recommend replacing the filter as follows:
5-Micron replace every 2-4 weeks
15-Micron replace once a month
This will help maintain cleaner water, ensure stronger water flow and reduce strain on your chiller’s components.
A primary indicator of a dirty filter is diminished output. If the filter is not readily accessible for inspection, monitor the flow rate; a dirty filter will progressively restrict water circulation and may eventually cause a total system blockage.
Are filter changes important?
Maintaining your chiller’s filter regularly is not just a routine task; it's essential for prolonging the unit's lifespan and ensuring its efficiency. Here's why:
- Preventative Measure: Regular filter maintenance acts as a protective shield for your chiller. It prevents dust, dirt, and other impurities from accumulating, which can cause the system to work harder than necessary.
- Avoid Expensive Repairs: When filters aren't changed frequently, debris can build up, leading to potential damage. This not only results in costly repairs but can also render the chiller inoperative for extended periods.
- Energy Efficiency: A clean filter allows for optimal airflow, reducing energy consumption. This means your chiller won't have to expend extra energy to maintain temperature, resulting in lower utility bills.
- Optimized Performance: Keeping the filter clean ensures the chiller operates at peak performance. This means consistent, reliable cooling for your needs without unexpected breakdowns.
- Warranty Protection: Neglecting filter changes could void your warranty so we highly suggest frequently replacing your filter in order to keep your cold plunge chiller operating at it's optimal level.
In summary, regular filter maintenance is a small investment that reaps significant benefits. It's a crucial step in ensuring your chiller remains functional, efficient, and cost-effective for years to come.
Should the Pro Chiller be on 24/7?
Yes. The chiller is intended to run continuously to keep water circulating at all times, supporting optimal cleanliness and helping prevent bacterial growth associated with stagnant water. The pump will constantly circulate water while the compressor will only come on during cooling periods.
Can the products be outdoors?
Yes, the HydroBarrel is built for indoor/outdoor use. We recommend placing under a covered area, such as a lanai, to prevent direct sunlight and exposure to the elements.
The Chillers can also be outside and we also highly recommend putting under cover. For longevity purposes, all items should be under a covered area to prevent direct sunlight and direct exposure to the elements. Outside temperature directly affect cooling times and chiller output so keep this in mind during setup. Chillers operating indoors have proven to use less energy and are better protected from the elements and can increase longevity.
